• Pre-emptive multitasking mostly did not work in beta 12. It has been fixed in this release.
Known Bugs:
• Sometimes immediately after connection to a service, a disconnection occurs, please report this as a bug giving your system configuration.
• Aborting a Stripe transfer does not work.
• Editing a script does not work, just use the Apple Script Editor and import scripts you wish to use.
• If a bug you see is not on this list, PLEASE report it to wprice@primenet.com. Without bug reports, bugs don't get fixed. I want to make sure the terminal side is totally stable before beta testing the host side which is now mostly complete.

Important notes:
• KEEP A BACKUP OF THE FOUR COMLINK DATA FILES AT ALL TIMES. THEY ARE STORED IN THE PREFERENCES FOLDER.
• There are a few current restrictions on usage and PowerPC/68K versions. The PowerPC version is obviously native and much faster on PPC macs. It is NOT pre-emptive however. If you format a disk during a transfer with it, your transfer will likely fail...as with any other comm program. The 68K version is always pre-emptive so that wont happen. The PowerPC version can have as many nodes as you have memory for. The 68K version can also....except that the 68K version you have right now is compiled to restrict itself to something like 4 ports. In order to change that, I have to compile a new version. This restriction has to do with how the pre-emptive stuff is done, and I'm not sure I can get around it. I guess it is not a major problem because eventually I can just distribute special copies with 4, 7, 10, 15, 20, 30 ports compiled. The issue is memory. If I compile a 68K version for 30 nodes, then whether or not you want 30 ports, 30 ports have to be allocated when the program starts wasting TONS of memory (maybe 4 MB). So for now 4 ports seems reasonable for most uses, but if you need more ports, use the PPC version for now.
